POSITION INFO:
Fire Detection Installer (SAQCC) - Epping - R10,000 per month negotiable
Installer level 1 of a Systems Installation Team of the Fire Detection Systems
Responsibilities:
To assist SAQCC qualified installers, serviceman, commissioners, and designers with the installation of any fire detection, fire extinguishing, nurse call, intercom, access control, CCTV, public address and any other system installed.
- To assist, install and accept full responsibility for the installation of small to medium size systems/projects assigned to them by management.
- Regular feedback/meetings on assigned projects to the Systems Installations Division,
- Management team and where necessary liaison with other members of Management.
- Communication between the Systems Management and the assistants of their service team.
- Supervision of all the assistants in their installation team to ensure that they perform their duties in the most efficient and effective manner on the site where work is carried out.
- Take responsibility of Cabler as per a Cabler’s job description and scope of works.
- To continuously further their own knowledge in respect to the systems they install and/or repair.
- To communicate and have regular liaison with the Materials Coordinator of the Systems with regards to the issuing of equipment required for installations or repairs.
- Collection of materials from suppliers, clients or any other party only when instructed by Management.
- To communicate and have regular liaison with the client on each site assigned to them.
- To look after and take responsibility for all vehicles, tools and equipment assigned to them.
- Assist with any general maintenance around the office, on company vehicles or on a customer’s site as instructed by management.
- To assist with and attend team building exercises or functions assigned to their team.
- To assist with the preparation, installation and maintenance of the piping division.
- To assist in creating a safe working environment for himself, assistants and other contractors or clients on site.
- To supervise the assistant assigned to them and ensure that they perform their job.
- Participate in Internal training interventions.
