• 5 Years FMCG experience – dispatch/receiving
• Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain Management
• Excellent leader and able to manage and motivate people
• Good team player and able to work with a diverse management team
• Proactive, enthusiastic and hands on individual
• Able to work under pressure
• Able to work in a cold environment
• Attention to detail – analytical thinking, accurate recording and dispatching of stock
• Experience working on a computer and ERP system
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Good maths skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) essential
• Knowledge of FIFO
• Ability to manage and conduct stock counts and cycle counts
• Good planning skills
• Able to work overtime and weekends when required

Job Description

The Finished Goods Manager is responsible for controlling all inventory within the freezer warehouses and the people that work within it. His duties will include :

• Ensuring that his staff members adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures within his department through regular checks throughout the day
• Overall responsibility for stock once received from production
• Ensuring bin accuracy is at 95% in both freezers (all movements and transfers must be accurately recorded)
• Ensuring each load is accurately picked for and loaded accurately and on time (100% accuracy)
• Monitoring of stock levels within the freezer
• Reporting weekly on stock levels and any risk items requiring attention from other team members as well as feedback on bin accuracy, load accuracy , overtime and any issues experienced
• Carrying out of cycle counts and reporting of count values to finance department
• Carrying out annual / monthly stock takes (variances to be minimal)
• Responsible to control tablets and scanners used by freezer / dispatch team and responsible to arrange for repairs / technical support / access etc
• Ensuring that freezers are kept neat and tidy at all times
• Collaborating with Supply Chain staff
• Managing freezer warehouse staff – scheduling of work times, monitoring the completion of tasks, authorisation of overtime, ensuring there is a clear handover from one team to the next
• Training of staff members
• Counselling
• Disciplining staff with assistance from HR
