Financial Wellbeing Consultant | KZN

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To fulfil on the Retail and Institutional Customer Value Proposition by, inter alia, assisting with financial wellbeing days, wellness days, member education seminars, campaigns, themed campaigns and initiatives, work-site marketing and consulting as well as fund specific workshops and financial wellness. Where necessary, to support and assist the Financial Planning Consultants to provide holistic financial planning advice to corporate funds members, by identifying their investment and lifestyle needs and objectives and to identify new business opportunities within existing and potential client bases. To help develop and implement strategies and manage relationships with key personnel within assigned and segmented Corporate accounts.


  • Matric 

  • Tertiary qualification i.e. BCom (majors in Financial Management or Financial Planning or Investments or Marketing)

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP license  or studying towards it)

  • Good understanding of the tax implications in holistic financial planning;

  • Good understanding of features and appropriateness of various products: Preservation Funds, Retirement Annuities, Annuities, Endowments, Life and Disability Assurance Policies, Unit Trusts, Trusts.

  • Good understanding of the Financial Services industry – including service providers and the retail market;

  • Good understanding of legislation and regulations governing investment markets (local and Offshore)

 

  • To attend and assist at corporate wellness days;

  • To attend and assist at corporate financial wellbeing days;

  • To attend and assist corporate member education sessions;

  • To assist with campaigns, themed campaigns, projects and initiatives as required;

  • To effectively manage leads from various interventions and provide feedback;

  • As required, to assist with worksite marketing and financial awareness;

  • To assist in segmented Corporate accounts with brand marketing and financial planning needs;

  • Develop and implement strategies with Senior Consultant to create and manage business opportunities arising within assigned and segmented Corporate accounts;

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key personnel in assigned and segmented Corporate accounts;

  • Assist clients with financial planning advice and solutions aligned to the 6 step financial planning process including:

    • Make a written recommendation based on a clients’ responses to the risk profile questionnaire and subsequent discussions;

    • Provide the client with information on the performance of the various investment portfolios available;

    • Educate the clients with regards to basic investment principles, i.e. risk versus reward, market sentiment, trends, performance (offshore and local), benchmarks etc

  • Resolve client concerns, queries and/or complaints;

  • Source new business by means of referrals.
