Financial Manager: Reporting CA(SA), Sandton – R 600 000

SUMMARY:
An ideal opportunity lies in wait, ideally for for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant, who's en route to qualify. This is your chance to fulfill a crucial role in this national retail distributor

POSITION INFO:

Having recently qualified as a CA(SA), the role will see you effectively manage & lead the Finance Reporting department in accordance with business strategy objectives & plans, sound business practice, organisational policies & compliance with various government regulatory or statutory requirements. You will act as a key Business Partner across the business by leading an exemplary reporting function. Be proactive & strive to look for improvements in implementation on the reporting platforms. Must be able to take on project work from time to time & must assist in the preparation of annual financial statements & audit

Minimum requirements:

Essential:

• Completed SAICA articles (preferably at one of the big firms)
• Qualified CA(SA) / at least in the process of waiting for results
• 2 years'' financial accounting experience
• Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• MS Office (MS Excel will be one your biggest friends

Responsibilities (included, but not limited to):

• Monthly flash reporting
• Monthly final reporting
• Assistance in annual budget & quarterly forecasts
• Cash flow forecasts
• Monthly management accounting reporting
• Intercompany confirmations
• Intercompany loan management
• Fixed Asset Register Maintenance
• General Ledger reconciliation
• Submissions to SARS for monthly VAT & PAYE
• Assisting in compilation of income tax returns (provisional & final)
• Assistance with preparation of annual financial statements
• Ad-hoc projects
