Financial Manager (EE)

SUMMARY:
Head Office based in Centurion, has an opening for a Financial Manager to join their team. Successful incumbent will be a CA(SA) with 2-3 years commercial experience, with solid management experience in order to manage a team.

POSITION INFO:

CA(SA) with exposure to the Financial Services sector in terms of derivatives, SAFEX transactions and Future contracts (highly advantageous).  Draw up, implement and adhere to policies and procedures • Establish and implement an effective control environment • Set up and maintain accounting and other systems • Manage financial and administrative information • Ensure accurate and efficient financial systems • Comply with the applicable country’s laws and regulations; Ensure completeness of month end procedures and closure accordance to group deadlines • Prepare and review journals on the system • Close and balance the cashbook • Accurate stock valuation and stock count • Agree Inter-companies balances • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations • Prepare and review VAT, payroll taxes, WHT etc; Prepare and submit all results, packs and forecasts • Tax-pack reviews and submission • Ensure tax compliance with the applicable country laws and regulations as well as applicable accounting framework requirements • Commentary on consolidated results; Compile and consolidate budgets • Implement effective cost management • Variance analysis and explanations • Prepare reports as required by management • Manage expenditure and approvals (As per DOA) • CAPEX applications / models as well as continuously monitoring of capital expenditure; Ensure that the payment cycle is adhered to • Adhere to all payment terms • Manage working capital • Ensure effective procurement processes are followed as stipulated by the policies • Manage cash flow and forecasts; Provide leadership in a motivational climate • Manages subordinates'' key performance areas by setting and monitoring performance standards and taking action to correct deviations to achieve the departmental objectives • Provide procedural and fair disciplinary action to address deviations • Provide staff administrative functions and succession planning and Ensure efficient two way communication with Head Office and other stakeholders • Maintaining client relations.
