JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Finance manager you are expected to be detail-oriented, knowledgeable on statistics, have strong problem-solving skills, and an investigative nature, reporting to the Head of Business and will be part of the management team which gives you direct access to the decision makers.

Finance Manager specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing 1 senior and 2 juniors in the accounting finance team.
  • Ensure that the Finance Department provides quality service to both internal & external Customers.
  • Timely delivery of meaningful and actional management accounts.
  • Work with the head of business in implementing and managing new Financial strategies and operations across the business.
  • Ensure the Department meets overall KPI’s set.
  • Together with the legal specialist ensure all legislative requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all finance policies.
  • Constantly seeking opportunities to enhance the system towards more efficient and effective processing, including but not limited to automation.
  • Timeous, relevant, and accurate reporting per the expectations of the Business Managers, Financial Director and Managing Directors of the company.
  • Assume responsibility for full accounting and auditing process.
  • Responsible for budgeting, forecasting including cash flow forecasting.

Requirements:

  • Degree in finance/accounting or related (essential).
  • A minimum requirement of 5 years of marketplace experience (not auditing) is required.
  • Similar industry experience will benefit you.
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and other financial planning software.
