SUMMARY:
Financial Services concern based in the North has an opportunity for an experienced person to take on the role of Financial Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Financial Manager will be expected to assume full responsibility for the finance function, including producing financial information to the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions.
They will also maintain oversight of the day to day work of the finance department and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payments, collections, payroll and other transactions
- Producing accurate reports, budgets, monthly management accounts and financial statements to specific deadlines
- Supervising accounting staff
- Managing budgets and controlling income, expenditure and cash flow
- Developing financial management mechanisms to minimise financial risk
- Liaising with managerial staff in other departments
- Co-ordinating the annual audit
- Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
Minimum Requirements
- B.Com. Honours
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Sage Accounting an advantage, but not a requirement
