Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
Financial Manager role available in Centurion area.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial records of the organisation, this includes journal entries, ledger accounts and trial balances
• Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledge, customer ledger and general ledger
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts to ensure their accuracy
• Issue Purchas Order req''''s for suppliers and equipment as authorised by management
• Tag and monitor fixed assets registers and depreciation calculations
• Take all reasonable discounts on supplier invoices
• Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner and per company policies
• Pay any debt as it omes due for payment and within the policies and procedures of the Finance Dept
• Issue invoices to customers
• Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
• Record cash receipts and make bank deposits where necessary
• Conduct a weekly reconciliation of every business bank account
• Conduct a monthly reconciliation of ever other bank account
• Maintain the petty cash
• Prep Trial Balances
• Assist in the issue of monthly income statements
• Assemble info for external auditors for the annual budget
• Calculate and prepare VAT returns payments
• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
• Assist in the payment and reconciliations of the payroll deductions and distributions of the company
• Conduct monthly recon''''s of the Employer Group Distributions of the compnay
• Provided clerical and administrative support to management as requested.

- 3-4 years experience in a similar role
