SUMMARY:
A small to medium sized law firm based in Johannesburg North is currently in the market for a Financial Manager to take full control of their finance function. The ideal candidate must have at least two years working in a law firm environment.

POSITION INFO:

A small to medium sized law firm based in Johannesburg North is currently in the market for a Financial Manager to take full control of their finance function. The ideal candidate must have at least two years working in a law firm environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

BCOM and completed articles
5 – 7 years’ experience
Law firm industry experience (essential)
Advanced Excel ERP system experience

Key Responsibilities:

Full finance function including debtors and creditors
Formulation and implementation of financial goals for the firm
Budgets and forecasts
Provide strategic financial support to the management committee
Development of financial policies and procedures
Ensure accounting and bookkeeping procedures are implemented on time inline with law firm accounting requirements
Management of cashflow
Financial Management and Reporting
Preparation of management accounts
Ensure cost controls
Ensure client trust accounts are managed within law society requirements
Preparation and lodgement of statutory returns
