Financial Manager - Oudtshoorn - Garden Route

POSITION INFO:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor''s degree in finance or accounting
• 5 years’ post articles experience as Senior Accountant or Finance Manager
• Knowledge of/experience in Microsoft Office, Sage Evolution and Pastel Payroll
• Well-tempered, be able to communicate well at all levels and possess a high level of integrity
• Analytical mind, organized, precise and meticulous with ability to multitask and to work under pressure

Duties (include, but not limited to):

• Responsible for the full financial and accounting functions for the different business units 
• Compilation of budgets and monthly management accounts and presenting to the director
• Planning and managing of annual financial audit, review annual financial statements and liaise with accounting/audit firm and group
• Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs and available funds to meet short term obligations and ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
• Establish internal controls and monitor effectiveness of these controls
• Oversee the extension of credit to customers and collection of debt
• Oversee the creditors reconciliations, capture and approve payments
• Perform the stock valuation and review of manufacturing reports and stock variances and assist in the determination of product pricing
• Payroll administration and liaise with HR consultant in regards to HR matters
• Update and maintain fixed asset registers
• Preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE and Provisional Tax returns
• Manage a small finance and administration team
• Liaise with banks and insurance brokers
• Conduct analyses and reports as requested by management
