Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
Company based in Randburg is looking for a Financial Manager ASAP, to provide a Financial and Management accounting service, ensure compliance to all procedures and policies snd ensure that accounting statements records comply with the latest Accounting and Auditing standards.

POSITION INFO:

• Process stock purchases of bulk and packed LPG, Diesel, Petrol, and other petrochemical products on Pastel Partner and target for zero errors
• Reconcile monthly stock balances on Pastel with physical counts from Depot and other stock locations. ie  consignment stock, Left on Board on bulk vehicles, etc
• Reconcile monthly Industrial cylinder balance from Supplier statement to physical counts performed by Sales staff at the various locations
• Investigate any variances on month-end stock count and report to Management on any unaccounted variances.
• Ensure that all creditors balances on Pastel are reconciled monthly and reconciling items processed within the month
• Ensure that all debtors balances on Pastel are reconciled monthly and reconciling items are processed timeously
• Reconciliation of general ledger balances and action as appropriate
• Update assets registers for additions and disposals, and process depreciation journals
• Process prepaid journals for Guarantees and Success Fees
• Process ABSA and Standard Bank Fleet Card expenses according to mileage travelled based on trip sheets
• Process credit card expense for that period
• Process accrual, provision for dividends, PAYE accrual, Sanlam Pension Fund Contribution
• Process foreign exchange control on Pastel
• Discuss reasons and explanations on variances and discrepancies noted when management accounts have been prepared.
• Vat reconciliation and submission
• Assist with BBE audits and Employment Equity
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the MD or other Management

Requirements:

• Minimum Finance degree or Diploma. 
• Minimum 3 year experience in Finance. (Management)
• At least 1 year experience of Pastel Partner with regards to processing and system knowledge. Microsoft Office.
• Experience in Supply Chain or similar environment would be an advantage.
