Financial Manager

POSITION INFO:

As the financial manager you will be responsible, yet not limited to the following duties and responsibilities:
You will need to lead and manage the financial department
Prepare the monthly management accounts as well as report on the companies financial performance to the relevant people
Promote a team culture of growth and personal development
Ensure the business is compliant with the South African Companies Act, Corporate Governance and other relevant legislation
Perform month end balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
Maintain a fixed asset register and shareholder loan schedules
Review and approve all payments processed by the creditors clerks
Effectively manage cash flow and complete annual financial budgets for all the businesses under administration
Accurately process general journals with the necessary audit supporting documentation
Address and manage audit-related queries raised to help finalize annual statutory audits
Complete accurate monthly financials of actuals vs budgeted and report any variances if applicable
 
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 1-3 years post articles experience
Someone who possesses an analytical mind with a strong knowledge and understand of IFRS
Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
 
Qualification:
Matric
BCom Accounting degree
Completed SAICA/SAIPA Articles
