Financial Controller

POSITION INFO:

Financial Controller required for automotive manufacturing company based in East London. You will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger in order to provide timeous and accurate Financial Accounting information for input into the management reporting process. Your role will also include providing financial analysis and support to management and all operational areas of the business.

Your role will include:

• Prepare operational budgets and operational forecasts
• Prepare financial reports and returns (Monthly BU Management Pack)
• Produce BU Flash Results and analyse variances
• Compile Balance Sheet Account reconciliations
• Prepare and plan Year-end Statutory Audit (external and internal)
• Prepare ledger balances and an initial trial balance including all reconciliations, Balance Sheet Accounts and supporting documentation
• Revalue foreign creditors and bank accounts
• Prepare forex forecasts
• Complete CAPEX/Disposal/Transfer applications
• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (issue Asset No''s, etc.)
• Prepare business tax returns (VAT, PAYE, SDL, UIF, WCA)
• Analyse and interpret Finance Reports and statistical data

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

• Grade 12
• National Diploma or Bcom in Financial Accounting or related qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
