Financial Controller

SUMMARY:
Our client operating in the Property industry is currently looking for a dynamic individual to join their Midrand based finance team as a Financial Controller. If you are a newly qualified CA(SA), and/or are suitably qualified with the minimum postgraduate qualification, please apply for this vacancy!

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Honours degree
• Chartered Accountant CA(SA) designation and/or eligibility is advantageous
• Minimum 2 years’ previous working experience within the Property industry
• Previous working experience within a similar Financial Controller position
• Advanced Microsoft Excel software skills

Job description & Skills:

• Administering financial processes and tasks for a portfolio of companies
• Reconciling General Ledgers (GL) and allocating costs while ensuring accuracy in capturing invoices and balance sheet reconciliations including bank, creditors, and debtors
• Preparing the financial reporting including the monthly, bi-annual, and annual management accounts
• Providing input into the budget and monitoring expenditure
• Ensuring that the creditors master data is updated
• Managing the daily cash position to ensure that funds are timeously available
• Ensuring that payments to suppliers are timeously process based on valid tax invoices
• Providing reports on the Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) spend for scoring purposes
• Managing the taxation function for the portfolio of companies involving statutory tax, provisional tax, and Value Added Tax (VAT)
• Assisting the audit team with the fulfilment of audit processes
