Financial Controller

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Kloof area is recruiting for Financial Controllers, for daily processing of accounting transactions into Back Office Software systems for multiple entities.

POSITION INFO:

• Preparation, reconciliation, and review of General Ledger accounts.
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Continuous improvement of financial policies and practices.
• Liaising with clients, following up on queries and maintaining good client relationships.
• Onboarding of new clients as per the documented company procedures and protocols.
• Ensuring all information is received for the preparation and finalisation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Assisting Financial Manager with the preparation of monthly management accounts and related reporting.
• Ensure timely submission of reports to the Financial Manager.
• Accurate financial recording as prescribed by good accounting practices.
• Accurate preparation of administrative documents and reports.
• Ensuring that department staff maintain an efficient online filing system.
• Ensuring that department staff maintain an orderly office environment.
• All other related bookkeeping, administrative and Back Office functions.
• Ad hoc duties as and when required by the Financial Manager.
• In the Financial Managers absence, step in and assist with:
• Delegating and supervision of Financial Controllers.
• Ensuring Financial Controllers meet planned deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and policies.
• Assist with cash flows, budgets, and forecasts.
• Compiling, analysing, and reporting financial data for management and stakeholders.

• 2 to 3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Completed Bachelors Commerce Degree (Diploma in Financial Accounting from an accredited learning institute will be considered based on experience.)
• High level of computer literacy and advanced Microsoft Office skills. (Advanced Excel, Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint)
• Experienced in cloud-based accounting packages including but not limited to Xero and Dext.
