Duties:

As Assistant Financial Controller, you''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function by:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports

• Processing, reviewing and reconciling financial transactions

• Preparing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow

• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning

• Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures and statutory requirements

• Assisting with internal and external audits

• Coordinating financial information across multiple departments

• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation

• Identifying and resolving financial discrepancies promptly

• Supporting the finance team with daily operations and ad hoc projects

Required:   

• BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field

• Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles

• 2–3 years'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' experience in a Financial Accountant, Assistant Financial Controller or similar accounting role

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Strong analytical and numerical ability

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Fluency in Afrikaans and English (essential)
