SUMMARY:
Our client based in George is currently in the market for an experienced financial clerk to join their team on a 6-month contract (Half day) The financial clerk will be responsible for carrying out accounting and administrative duties such as the processing and payment of supplier’s invoices, reconciliation of statements, following-up on unpaid suppliers, obtaining statements and invoices and to provide book keeping and clerical support to all financial functions

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:
  • Registration of accounts payable invoices and credit notes on Kerridge ERP.
  • Filing of all documents for accounts payable and accounts receivable – invoices and credit notes.
  • Follow up on any outstanding invoices from Suppliers during month end recons.
  • Maintaining the “matching failures” and working with the Creditors Clerk to ensure creditor accounts are up to date and accurate.
  • Assisting Creditors Clerk with queries, credit notes, requesting of statements and copies of invoices.
  • Filing internal invoices.
  • Maintaining the filing room by retrieving documents for queries on accounts and ensuring the documents are refiled.
  • Assisting Debtors with credit notes and proof of deliveries when required.
  • Any other ad hoc duties requested by management
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Reliable transport
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
