SUMMARY:
Our client based in George is regarded as one of the biggest suppliers of products, components, parts, and equipment to the South African automotive market. They are currently in the market for an experienced financial clerk to join their team on a 6-month contract (Half day) The financial clerk will be responsible for carrying out accounting and administrative duties such as the processing and payment of supplier’s invoices, reconciliation of statements, following-up on unpaid suppliers, obtaining statements and invoices and to provide book keeping and clerical support to all financial functions

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Registration of accounts payable invoices and credit notes on Kerridge ERP.
Filing of all documents for accounts payable and accounts receivable – invoices and credit notes.
Follow up on any outstanding invoices from Suppliers during month end recons.
Maintaining the “matching failures” and working with the Creditors Clerk to ensure creditor accounts are up to date and accurate.
Assisting Creditors Clerk with queries, credit notes, requesting of statements and copies of invoices.
Filing internal invoices.
Maintaining the filing room by retrieving documents for queries on accounts and ensuring the documents are refiled.
Assisting Debtors with credit notes and proof of deliveries when required.
Any other ad hoc duties requested by management

Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric
Reliable transport
1-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
