Financial Assistant / Bookkeeper - Montague Gardens - R10,000-R15,000 per month

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Financial Assistant / Bookkeeper - Montague Gardens - R10,000-R15,000 per month

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
  • Assistance with processing of all Journal Entries for the Management Accounts
  • Preparation of the monthly customer rebate file
  • Updating the Management Account template files
  • Assisting the Financial Manager with ad hoc duties and requests
  • Processing of Supplier invoices
  • Preparation of monthly supplier reconciliations for review
  • Updating and maintaining the container optimization spreadsheet
  • Updating and maintaining the container cost spreadsheets
  • Capturing of container stock PO’s
  • Sending out of weekly reports for management review (including Stock & Creditors, Sales & GP)
  • Monthly excel spreadsheet reports
  • Filing of all paperwork processed
  • Other duties as and when required.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in the MS Office suit
  • Worked on Pastel or similar accounting package
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Can work independently
  • Works well in a deadline driven environment
  • Works well under pressure
  • Can work late/weekends when required.
