Financial Analyst

SUMMARY:
A giant within the FMCG space is searching for a Financial Analyst to join their pioneering finance team.

POSITION INFO:

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, AND
• Bachelors (Hons) degree in Accounting

Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years of Accounting background
• Experience within the Manufacturing or FMCG industry
• Experience in establishing financial controls and strategies
• Experience in auditing (internal and/or forensic) would be an advantage
• Experience in utilising IT tools to interrogate high volume, complex data

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Analyse transactions on customer accounts and review the supporting documents to ensure validity
• Analyse the ageing of debtors balances – including rebates, outstanding PODs, and outstanding claim documents and follow up for resolution within stipulated timelines
• Review of all rebate provision transactions and balances, including oversight of the rebates process
• Detailed analysis of all debtors balance sheet accounts per customer (consolidated review of the trade debtors, RT, RFC, POD, Payback; clearing and rebate provision accounts)
• Validation and approval of manual transactions
• Review of all debtor’s exception reports; including investigation and follow up for resolution of root causes
• Applying IT tools to perform routine transaction life cycle reviews to ensure initiation to completion of a document flow through the process is not extended beyond normal terms
• Review of customer master data to ensure accurate reporting
