POSITION INFO:

Our client, a young financial services company, is looking to employ a Financial Administrator to join their team in the Northern suburbs area.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in helping our client to maintain financial and administrative order across their business units and assisting them with the measurement of their performance.

The successful candidate will provide financial, bookkeeping, and administrative support for these areas.

Job Duties:

• Daily financial administration and reconciliation of our client’s loan, investment, and insurance product transactions.
• Daily product and client payments.
• Processing of supplier and customer invoices.
• Maintaining accurate accounting records.
• Assisting with the compilation of monthly management reports.
• Assisting with the management of the loan and investment administration platforms.
• Ad hoc reporting, accounting, and administrative support to business unit.
• General management of office functions and maintenance.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of financial administration work experience.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Attention to detail and the ability to do reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to work methodically through a checklist of activities daily.
• Excellent communication and people skills – both verbal and written.
• Team player, problem solver and able to work unsupervised is an important requirement.
• Strong administrative and analytical skills.
• Strong IT skills (MS Excel, MS Word, Google Apps, Xero).
• Reliable transport.
• Good personal financial discipline and a desire to help others with their finances.

Advantageous Requirements:

Accounting / bookkeeping related work experience.

Experience of working on cloud-based accounting software and applications.

Experience in the financial services industry (e.g., savings, investment, loans, etc.).

Proven track record in meeting targets and deadlines.

Area: Northern suburbs.

Gross salary: R12,000 to R15,000 per month, commensurate with experience.

Starting date: As soon as possible.
