POSITION INFO:

Our client, an International Investment company is currently looking for a dynamic Financial Administrator that will be in charge of all their administration in Durban.

Minimum Qualification Required:

  • University Degree - BCom Accounting/Financial Management
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in accounting and /or finance is compulsory

Software Skills

  • Microsoft Office suite, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Zoom, others welcome.

Financial Software Skills

  • Financial analysis, Excel modelling

Overview:

Our client is an international investment and consulting business operating in Africa and Europe. Their focus is credit, covering trade finance and corporate loans, with the ability to invest more broadly in special situations.

Further, it provides consulting, structuring, and administration services to investors and companies. The chosen candidate will work directly for the founder of the company, as well as gain direct access to the other co-founders. The role will be varied and interesting, with the chosen candidate gaining exposure to all aspects of this growing business.

Profile:

The candidate should be willing and able to provide support in a range of situations as needed, with the ability to learn and execute in areas potentially outside of their comfort zone. The chosen person should be happy working proactively and independently, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with a range of financial and administrative tasks.
  • Must be looking for career progression and development of the candidate and the role.
  • Bookkeeping - Managing bookkeeping for two companies.
  • Involves working with external accountants in the UK, South Africa, and elsewhere to ensure accurate recording and tracking of financials, including compliance with tax and government filings.
  • Accounting Recording and tracking finances, including budgeting, investors, portfolio management, internal performance metrics, and general systems administration.
  • Operations Maintaining and helping to improve internal systems, covering financial aspects, technology, and general operations.

 

Administration:

Supporting general administration as needed.
