SUMMARY:
Reporting to the CFO you will be responsible for the reporting processes and month-end processes.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications and Knowledge:

BCom in Financial Management, NQF Level 6 Minimum.
3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment with relevant ERP exposure.
Advanced computer literacy and competency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Syspro is non-negotiable.

Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Must have a valid driver’s licence.

Key Result Areas

Process Journals General Ledger and prepare reconciliations.
Assist with Tax recons and Tax returns.
Assist with analysing budget vs actuals variances.
Prepare Management Accounts/Reporting of designated businesses.
Reconciliation, analysis, and monitoring of the general ledgers
Ensuring completeness of GL accounting.
Review and approval of monthly Bank, Debtor, Creditor and Fixed asset recons from GL to supporting documentation.
Review and approval of statutory returns and submissions
Responsible for reviewing control accounts.
Liaise with relevant departments regarding information/documentation needed to prepare reports and relevant analyses.
Coordinate the external audit and its tax and other statutory filings.
File all cyclical legislative returns.
Coordinate and facilitate SARS audits.
Assist and facilitate all statutory and special audits by external auditors.
Assistance with the coordination of month-end stocktake and variance analysis.
Continuous improvement methodology roll out with Business Controller
