SUMMARY:
Candidate to be responsible for the full finance function

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Procure to Pay

1. Review requisitions

2. Ensure Purchase orders are generated

3. Receive invoices from suppliers

4. Reconcile the suppliers account

5. Arrange for the payments to be loaded in bank account

6. Communicate with suppliers wrt accounts / statements / payments

7. Ensure VAT entries are correct

Sales to Receipts

1. Ensure sales orders are issued correctly

2. Ensure stock movement entries are correct

3. Pass the credit notes relating to rebates and discounts (off invoice)

4. Liaise with Credit Controller to ensure correct allocation of payments against invoices

Stock Control

1. Monthly reconciliation of the relevant inventory accounts in the subsidiary Intercompany accounts

1. Monthly reconciliation of intercompany AP/AR and loan accounts

2. Liaise with Head-Office to ensure cross-company agreement

Fixed Assets

1. Ensure all capitalization entries are done as required per IS16

2. Reconcile fixed asset accounts in the subsidiaries on a monthly basis

Month-end

1. Be involved in month-end process for the Group

2. Support Head-Office Team where required

3. Ensure all accruals are passed correctly as per month-end requirement

Requirements:

B.Com degree or similar – not negotiable
5 years Accounting experience on all areas as stated above
Syspro experience a definite benefit
Must have exposure and working knowledge of mid-tier ERP systems
