A well-established insurance giant seeks an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Johannesburg West. In this role the purpose will be to report on financial results of partners and perform reconciliations of partner balances.

A well-established insurance giant seeks an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Johannesburg West.

In this role the purpose will be to report on financial results of partners and perform reconciliations of partner balances.

Duties include, but not limited to

Preparation of income statement and balance sheets for Partner Reports

Performing analysis of financial information and other business management information

Analysis and reconciliations of monthly accounts

Preparation of management reports

Assistance with audits and other adhoc duties as required

Developing financial models for forecasting, cost analysis and profitability

Developing various reports for automation

Drafting of monthly reports and analysis

Education:

BCom in finance or accounting

Skills & Experience:

1 to 2 years experience in similar position

Insurance industry experience is non-negotiable

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is a non-negotiable

Strong personality

Strong analytical skills

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment

Team player

The role requires an individual that is adaptable to changes in a growing organisation, detail orientated and with the ability to work in a manual environment.
