Financial Accountant (Manufacturing)

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the CFO you will be responsible for the reporting processes and month-end processes.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

• BCom in Financial Management, NQF Level 6 Minimum.
• 3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment with relevant ERP exposure.
• Advanced computer literacy and competency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Syspro is preferable

• Must have a valid driver’s licence.

Key Result Areas 

• Process Journals General Ledger and prepares reconciliations.
• Assist with Tax recons and Tax returns.
• Assist with analysing budget vs actuals variances.
• Prepare Management Accounts/Reporting of designated businesses.
• Reconciliation, analysis, and monitoring of the general ledgers
• Ensuring completeness of GL accounting.
• Review and approval of monthly Bank, Debtor, Creditor and Fixed asset recons from GL to supporting documentation.
• Review and approval of statutory returns and submissions
• Responsible for reviewing control accounts.
• Liaise with relevant departments regarding information/documentation needed to prepare reports and relevant analyses.
• Coordinate the external audit and its tax and other statutory filings.
• File all cyclical legislative returns.
• Coordinate and facilitate SARS audits.
• Assist and facilitate all statutory and special audits by external auditors.
• Assistance with the coordination of month-end stocktake and variance analysis.
• Continuous improvement methodology roll out with Business Controller
