Financial Accountant (Durbanville, Cape Town) R28,000 – R30,000 PM

POSITION INFO:

South Africa''''''''s #1 Property Investment company is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their growing team within the accounts department. 

Take responsibility for the full accounting function of 4 companies within the group, including but not limited to:

  • Processing of all monthly accounts to Trial Balance
  • Preparing the necessary reconciliations on all accounts
  • Preparation of all monthly VAT returns where applicable
  • Debtors and Creditors Control
  • Bank Control
  • Management accounts preparation, budget review
  • Monthly / Bi-Monthly Monthly / Yearly statutory returns
  • Preparation of annual income tax and provisional tax calculations
  • Preparation of audit files for annual audits
  • Work with and liaise with auditors regarding the Annual Financial Statements

Requirements: 

  • BCom Finance Degree or similar
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience within similar role
  • Completed SAIPA / CIMA articles (advantageous)
  • Advanced Excel/Smartsheets skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Xero, NetCash, CaseWare)
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in Afrikaans and English
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Deadline driven
  • Can do attitude
  • Self-motivated and well organised
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Good negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Planning, coordinating and prioritizing
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
