SUMMARY:
A company at the top of their game with a focus on facilitating loans, seeks an up-and- coming Financial Accountant to join the ranks immediately. The opportunity is ideal for someone who has 2 years’ post article experience under their belt

POSITION INFO:

The role will draw on your financial statement drafting skills & will see numbers being your biggest ally. With an awesome culture & the company on a growth spurt, this role will definitely keep you on your toes

Minimum requirements:

Essential:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university
• Completed articles
• Drafting of financial statements

Duties & responsibilities:

• Drawing up of financial statements for several companies in preparation for sign-off from auditors
• General company secretarial duties
• Financial administration
• Statutory returns for several companies
• Working on multiple sets of books
• Working on interesting and technical projects (we deal with HNW individuals, trusts)
• Able to prepare account entries by compiling financial information
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information
• Summarises current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation
• Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Monthly compilations and submissions of statutory information

Remuneration & benefits:

• R 30 000 – R 35 000 CTC
