SUMMARY:
A food-logistics company in the East of Pretoria is looking for an energetic, young and suitably experienced/qualified Financial Accountant for their operations

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities

Responsible for full accounting function
Processing of General Ledger and Journal transactions as well as reconciliations
Completion of Balance sheets and reconciliations
Preparation of monthly and weekly financial reports
Analysis of management figures
Monitoring of Inventory - including reporting, analysis, costs, variances, reconciliations
Preparation of budgets
Update and maintain fixed asset register
Ensure SARS regulatory compliance – includes rebates, logbooks and legal requirements
Preparation of audit documents and assistance during audits
Preparation of forecasts
Assist with the preparation of management accounts
Analysis of results against budgets and forecasts
Assist the Manager with ad hoc projects and related financial information

Requirements

Grade 12/Matric

BCom Accounting degree
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles would be beneficial
MUST have 3 – 5 years Accountant experience – this is Non-negotiable
MS Office including Advanced Excel skills
Sage/Pastel Evolution
Good interpersonal and communication skills

Salary range varies according to experience, responsibility, qualification, software ability and relevant industry experience
