Salary: R45 000 – R50 000CTC

Main Function:

To manage the operational financial function by applying the principles of financial planning, analyses, and projection, and to review financial information, trends, and forecasts. Recommend actions, in conjunction with other members of the finance team, aimed at achieving the organisational and operational financial objectives.

• Provide strong financial support to the FM in the collection, collation, and interpretation of financial information
• Support the business in the delivery of accurate and timely reports, records, and financial books.
• Contribute to the cash position of the business by providing the rigorous application of governance of debtors and creditors and ensuring cost management and control
• Support the integrity and discipline of the business through driving the implementation and compliance of company policy and procedures
• Support the senior team in the speed and accuracy of decisions through undertaking the collection and collation of data and interpretation of same
• Determine the integrity of the data
• Assist with the review and implementation of internal controls and procedures; and assist with resolving Internal and External Audit queries.
• Working unsupervised
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, forecasting, budgets, and cash flow forecast.
• Ensure that all payment requisitions for payment are in line with DOA requirements before handing them across to Finance Clerk for payment processing on a timely basis.
• Bank & Cash Book reconciliations reviewed and posted on a daily basis.
• All General ledger balance sheet accounts and control accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and handed across to the Finance Manager for approval.
• Inter Company accounts reconciled monthly, as well as confirmations sent out monthly.
• Review weekly payroll before payment run.
• Review the Fixed Asset register on a monthly basis by checking any additions or disposals to ensure balances are in line with General Ledger accounts at month end.
• Prepare all statutory returns for review and submission on a timely basis.
• Ensure smooth month end reporting closure by preparing all standard monthly entries as well as accruals and provisions are raised monthly as directed by Finance Manager to ensure all costs are recorded in the correct month activity occurs.
• Ensure clean debtors book, outstanding debtors days maximum 60 days.

Minimum Requirements:

• Tertiary education in Finance (B.Com or B.Compt)
• Must have good written, verbal and oral communication in English
• Sound knowledge of accounting and tax
• Auditing articles advantageous
• Experience in manufacturing environment
• 5 years in a similar role
