Client based in Isando needs your 5 years accounting experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities

Management of debtors, creditors & bookkeeper
- Ensure all expenses (and revenue) in all businesses are in the correct transaction
accounts before Flash report is due.
- Ensure intercompany accounts and clearing accounts have been reconciled and
balanced every month
- Completion of all balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintenance of Fixed asset registers
- Assist CFO in preparation of month end reports.
- Ensure customers stay withing the limits of their specified contracts
- Familiarize yourself with all contracts for both AP and AR.
- Ensure all money received is banked
- Ensure all foreign creditors are reconciled monthly
- Ensure petty cash purchases are kept to a minimum and required documentation and
reconciliations are done.
- Ensure all Finance modules balance monthly. (AR, AP, Cashbook & IC)
- Ensure that purchases in line with Bidvest procedure.
- Familiarize yourself with all reports and be able to interpret / analyze and give
necessary financial advice.
- Be fully conversant with all statutory requirements.
- Manage stock counts, ensuring variances are calculated correctly and timeously.
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial reports within deadline requirements
- Prepare rebate schedules
- Reviewing and checking of creditors recons and payment requisitions
- Processing of monthly journals and finalization of trial balances for month end
- Ad-hoc duties when required

Desired Experience & Qualification

BCom or Diploma in Accounting
