SUMMARY:
Financial Accountant – Johannesburg
R500K – R540K annually

My client in the logistics space is looking for a process driven, decisive and detail oriented Financial Accountant to join the team. The successful incumbent will provide expertise and advice to support the development of operational implementation plans within the business.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supporting the general ledger and sub ledgers
Carrying out monthly reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts
Drawing up monthly management accounts, daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and journal entries
Organizing and helping with the internal and external audit process
Helping with annual budgeting process
Observing and managing CAPEX
Analysing debtors and creditors sub-ledgers as support for any journals past

Requirements:

BCom / BCom (Honours)
3 – 5 years relevant work experience/articles preferable
Sound knowledge of taxation legislation, IAS Standards, IFRS and Companies Act and company financial systems and procedures
Company policies and procedures
