JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job and Company description:

This is a wonderful opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a leading South African gaming company. It is a fast-paced environment which requires the ability to work under pressure (deadlines wait for no one) and also someone who has very strong reconciliation skills. Our clients believe in empowering their employees and are very service-driven. All round wonderful opportunity!

As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for:

Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
Forecast costs and revenues
Manage tax payments
Organize internal audits
Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
Analyze financial trends
Perform month-end and year-end close processes

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Com Accounting – CIMA advantageous
Very strong reconciliation skills
Pastel / Pilot or Caseware
Knowledge of Value Added Tax
