A nationally known procurement and logistics services company seeks an experienced and hardworking Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Johannesburg North. This role will involve regular travel into Africa.

A nationally known procurement and logistics services company seeks an experienced and hardworking Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Johannesburg North.

This role will involve regular travel into Africa.

Duties include but not limited to:

Capturing payments

VAT preparation and submissions

Implementing and monitoring financial and business systems and processes

Compliation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS

Journals, cashbook and bank recons

Preparation of monthly management accounts

Debtors and creditors control

Cashflow statements and budgets

Monthly payroll

Overseeing financials of subsidiaries in Africa

Education:

BCom in finance or accounting

Job Experience & Skills Required:

3 to 4 years' experience in a full function accounting role is essential

Strong Excel skills

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Meticulous attention to detail

Work well under pressure

Deadline driven and results orientated

Good people skills and assertiveness

Team player
