SUMMARY:
Mindworx is recruiting 2x Financial Accounting with either Vat or Tax to support business partners and the finance team with planning, reporting, financial analysis, transactional processing, and reconciliations. The role must further act as a liaison between business partners and the finance team to ensure compliance with requirements of IFRS and finance policies.

POSITION INFO:
Qualification/s Required:
BCom degree in Finance or Accounting

Experience Required:

3-5 years’ work experience in a finance role within the financial services/banking industry.
Sound understanding of accounting/IFRS principles.
Experience in the preparation of monthly flash reporting, reconciliations, and year-end financial
reporting.
Advanced proficiency in excel.
Sage X3 – advantageous.

VAT and Tax

Robust understanding of VAT principles.
Compilation of monthly VAT reconciliation.
Various tax preparations and submissions (Company Tax, VAT, etc.).
Review VISA interchange reports for GL consistency and invoicing.
SARS audit preparation and submissions regarding VAT refunds.
Liaise with payments ops to settle third-party appointments from SARS.
