Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Are you an Accountant looking for your next job opportunity in a dynamic, market leading company? Our clients are looking for a strong decision maker and problem solver with the ability to perform the full accounting function and support the optimal functioning of the finance department.

POSITION INFO:

Oversee the daily transactional processing of all transactions, within the business unit

Build scalable, controlled processes to support a hyper growth environment

Enhance existing processes and controls, perform and maintain assigned internal controls

Weekly payment process, start to finish

Oversee all partner accounts, through management of creditors clerk team:

Assist with partner onboarding

Assist with escalated queries

Reconciliations of individual accounts

Risk management associated with creditors function including putting in place sufficient controls

Oversee bulk invoicing and processing

Review monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable and payable

Daily and weekly finance reports to management

Weekly reconciliation of control accounts

Month end procedures and reporting

Mentor, teach and review the work of other supporting members of the accounting team

Work closely with all departments on all finance related aspects

Participate in and lead finance projects with relevant stakeholders

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2 years post article experience in a corporate environment

Qualification:

BCom degree in Accounting or Finance Management

Complete SAICA or SAIPA Articles

CA(SA) highly advantageous
