Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
An IT company based in the East of Johannesburg has a vacancy for a Financial Accountant.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications and requirements:

- Completed Degree in Finance 

- 3 to 5 years experience

- Must be available immediately or on a short notice

This role will report to the USA finance manager and will be responsible for the following:

1. Preparing and reconciling all asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and ensuring accurate account information and reconciliations on a weekly and monthly basis for various entities.

2. Ensure the collection of accurate financial information to prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.

3. Substantiates all financial transactions by checking documents.

4. Accruals, Prepaid Expenses & Provisions

5. Intercompany loan accounts

6. Debtors management: The accountant will be responsible for all debtor related tasks which include but are not limited to:

• Preparation of client billing statements, billing schedule and invoices.
• Ensure bills and invoices are paid on time and checks are captured.
• Follow up to ensure payment arrangements are honored.
• Followup to monitor the expected customer payment dates and make allowances with management approval and examination of customer payment plans, payment history, credit line.
• Respond to all emailed and telephonic queries in a timeously, seeing matters through to completion.
• Update management on the standing of outstanding monies, including feedback on collections.

7. Creditors management: The accountant will be responsible to manage the accounting intern:

• Capture all accounts payable invoices into the accounting system and ensure all accounts reconcile to the supplier statements
• Process and reconcile all bank accounts, credit cards and investments accounts
• Monthly payments
• Daily Bank Balances & Daily Banking Report
