Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
An expanding company operating within the E-commerce and Retail industries is looking for a Financial Accountant that has completed their South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) articles to join their Cape Town based Finance team. POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree specialising in Accounting
• Completed South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) articles
• Previous working experience in a similar Accountant position within the Retail industry is highly advantageous
• Advanced Microsoft Excel software skills are high advantageous

Job description & Skills:

• Processing journals and performing General Ledger (GL) account reconciliations
• Bookkeeping up to trial balance and processing monthly accruals
• Allocating expenses to the correct and/or corresponding cost centre
• Facilitating the processing and management of Property, Plant & Equipment (PPE), work-in-progress (WIP), depreciation and amortisation
• Providing departmental budgets and budget review packs
• Assisting with the completion of successful Interim and/or Annual audit processes
• Assisting with the monthly management accounts and/or completing ad hoc activities and projects required by management
