A reputable concern in the retail space that has been around since 1934 is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, performing monthly reconciliations, and preparing or processing journal entries. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the annual budgeting process, reviewing the debtors and creditors ledgers as well as preparing the daily, weekly, monthly financial reports.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

BCom Honors in Accounting

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience working in a retail space is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confident and assertive
