JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for financial accounting reporting as well as providing reconciliations and information as part of the audit process. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for ensuring correct reconciliation of all inventory and all interphases between sub ledger and general ledger as well as identifying on variances and performing analytical reviews of monthly VAT transactions. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local legislation and accounting standards.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• BCom Honors in Accounting
• Completed SAICA articles
• Completed CIMA or studying towards CIMA

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 4-5 years’ experience in a financial accounting role
• Experience in the automotive/manufacturing industries is preferred
• Working knowledge of inventory analysis and reporting is non-negotiable
• Working in a multinational organization is preferred
• Experience to consolidated reporting would be advantageous
• Working knowledge of VAT and Tax would be advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
