Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Midrand within the Manufacturing industry is currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Accounting/Finance degree
• Honours degree/ Postgraduate diploma would be advantageous

Experience:

• Similar experience in previous roles
• Articles would be advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the purchases and payables process
• Detailed review of the supplier reconciliations
• Management of the creditors age analysis
• Management of suppliers according to payment terms and credit limits
• Support the timely resolution of supplier queries
• Ensuring all expenses are recorded accurately and in the correct period
• Team management
• Assist with the monthly management accounts

Payroll:

• Capturing and processing payroll related expenses
• Manage payroll process ensuring that it is accurate and completed on time
• Complete submissions to third parties e.g. provident fund submissions
• Responsible for audit queries around purchases and payables

• Strong technical ability to understand and apply financial accounting principles
• Excellent communication skills to support the team
