Financial Accountant

On the lookout for an Accountant role to start ASAP?

Area: Based in Johannesburg West for a JSE listed company

Package: R40000 CTC P/M

Requirements:

Completed B. Comm Accounting degree
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant
Experience with full accounting function and management accounts
Analysing of figures
Solution orientated
Integrity, accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines
Strong manufacturing experience
Strong Syspro working knowledge (non-negotiable)
Advanced Ms Excel skills
IFRS working experience

Duties:

Managing the financial function
Processing of General Ledger
Production of monthly income statements, balance sheets and management accounts
Analyse the income statements and investigate variances
Reconciliations of control account and balance sheets
Compile and submit VAT 201 on e-filing and do VAT reconciliations
Reconcile PAYE, SDL and UIF and submit on e-filing
Manage expense budgets
Responsible for Fixed Asset register
Reconcile IRP5 and submit IRP5 returns on e-filing
Perform monthly cash book rollovers
Monthly processing of journals
Balance sheet account reconciliation
Inter-company accounts
Income statement analysis
Preparation on monthly financial reports
Overseeing the creditors and debtors function
