SUMMARY:
FMCG / Manufacturing concern, based on the East Rand, has an opening for an Accountant to join their team. Position needs a person with a completed B.Com (Accounting) degree, with 4-5 years fixed assets accounting and income tax experience. SAP knowledge essential.

POSITION INFO:

Report directly to the Financial Controller and be responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register and reports; collating, maintaining and reviewing sustainable cost saving and related reports including management reports; collating, maintaining and reviewing financial and Selling, General and Admin including management reporting; income tax and tax pack preparation and completion;general financial administration and maintenance and/or improve SOP''s and alignment of personnel to procedures including on the job trainng / assistance and guidance. Completion of tax pack and supporting tax schedule; maintain, validate monthly reconciliation of tax asset register with fixed assets register; prepare tax pack and liaise with Global Tax Department and Auditors for submission to SARS; preparation and submission of provisional tax returns; SARS query resolutions for income tax; ISD14 audit on tax income return; transfer pricing Masterfile and local file preparation and liaison with Global, plus submission to SARS and forecast tax calculations. Working experience with the FMCG / Manufacturing (preferably food manufacturing) sectors with solid SAP experience essential.
