SUMMARY:
Multi-national concern based in the South of Johannesburg has a superb opportunity for a candidate with previous accounting experience from either a wholesale and distribution or retail environment. B.Com Accounting degree essential.

POSITION INFO:

Provide finance support to subsidiaries with the Group

Tasks would include:

Oversee the AP function for local and foreign suppliers

Maintain the GL and completion of montly GL recons

Process month-end journals and balance loan accounts

Montly and quarterly financial reporting to the holding company

Group Treasury function

Oversee stock counts and process stock count adjustments

Prepare monthly commission schedules

Maintain fixed assets register for some subsidiaries

Prepare and submit monthly VAT and withholding tax returns

Provide support and assistance with systems / process automation

Assist with various statutory compliance requirements

B.Com finance degree essential

Advanced MS Excel skills

Previous experience in wholesale, distribution or retail industry

Min. of 4 years commercial experience in a similar role

Previous experience in a supervisory role
