SUMMARY:
Outstanding Head Office opportunity exists with large Multinational Group, encompassing manufacturing, distribution and retail operations, for a Financial Accountant with a post graduate qualification and completed articles. Post article experience is beneficial and a CA SA Qualification is preferred.

POSITION INFO:

Report to the Financial Manager
Manage Head Office and branch accounting, finance and secretarial functions.
Manage the annual audit and preparation of annual financial statements and Board pack.
annual and monthly tax computations and returns for all companies within the Group
Assist with preparation of Groups monthly management accounts.
Assist with property transactions and property matters, including lease agreements.
monthly VAT returns.
Rannual insurance declaration and management of insurance claims.
Secretarial functions for all companies within the Group.
Ensure timeous payment of utilities
forward cover for imports
bank signatory
cash management

Qualifications and Experience

Post graduate qualification in Finance.
Post article experience is beneficial.
CA (SA) qualification is preferred.
3 + years management experience in an accounting environment
Sound understanding of SA income tax, VAT and other tax legislation.
High level computer literacy including MS Office / Excel.
Ability to write advanced macros and produce high level spreadsheets and financial modelling
ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Deadline driven and able to cope under pressur
