POSITION INFO:
Financial Accountant – Property Sector

Our client is a well-established property company with over 20 years of experience in managing and developing commercial and retail real estate across South Africa and the broader African continent. Known for their robust portfolio of iconic shopping centres, office parks, and mixed-use developments, the company prides itself on innovation, sustainability, and long-term value creation. Their hands-on approach to asset and property management has positioned them as a trusted leader in the industry.

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the full accounting function across a diverse property portfolio. This includes preparing accurate monthly financial reports, maintaining general ledger integrity, processing journals, reconciling balance sheets, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and relevant tax legislation. You will support the budgeting and forecasting processes, manage fixed asset registers, and assist with external audits. In addition, you’ll collaborate closely with Property Managers, asset teams, and senior finance stakeholders, to ensure financial accuracy, support operational decision-making, and drive continuous improvement in reporting and controls.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

A BCom degree in Accounting
MDA
4 years of relevant property experience
