A retail company is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and overseeing the financial health of the organization.
 
As a Financial Accountant you will responsible for the following:

• Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records in line with local accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate classification of financial transactions.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently and promptly.
• Maintain the chart of accounts and recommend improvements when necessary.
• Prepare management accounts and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights and actionable recommendations to management.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support strategic decision-making and planning.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance team members and department heads, to streamline financial processes and drive efficiency.
• Support external audits and ensure regulatory compliance by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements to ensure the organization remains compliant.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
