Are you an experienced Financial Accountant looking for an exciting opportunity in the fast-paced retail industry?

POSITION INFO:
Job & Company Descriptions:
A retail company is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and overseeing the financial health of the organization.

As a Financial Accountant you will responsible for the following:

Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records in line with local accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate classification of financial transactions.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently and promptly.
Maintain the chart of accounts and recommend improvements when necessary.
Prepare management accounts and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights and actionable recommendations to management.
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support strategic decision-making and planning.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance team members and department heads, to streamline financial processes and drive efficiency.
Support external audits and ensure regulatory compliance by providing required documentation and explanations.
Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements to ensure the organization remains compliant.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Bcom in Finance
Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles
Minimum 1 - 2 years post articles experience
Retail experience would be beneficial
