Financial Accountant – 3-Month Fixed Term Contract

SUMMARY:
A multinational company is looking for an immediately available Financial Accountant to join their team for a 3-month period to ensure spotless ledgers and prepare accurate financial reports. Designations such as ACCA, CA(SA) or CIMA and prior experience handling accounting and reporting within European entities are highly beneficial.

POSITION INFO:

Perform the monthly close process European entities, including preparation of monthly schedules, journals and analytical review

Balance sheet reconciliation

Statutory and Management reporting for our European subsidiary

Preparation of VAT returns and submission

Monthly closure of bank including reconciliation and revaluations

Intercompany reconciliations and Funding for subsidiaries

Coding and maintaining the Asset registers and monthly accounting of depreciation

Monitoring of aged Debtors and Creditors

Processing payroll for the relevant entities (payments), including posing the journals, payments to Authorities, PAYE and other payroll reconciliations, as well as submission if and when needed

Reporting and compliance with regulatory and Tax authorities

Local Audits and liaising with auditors

Preparing audit deliverables to deadlines and assisting in group audits

Improving and maintaining the cashflow for the relevant business entities

Ensuring the banking controls are adhered to

Being point of contact for our banking partners

Supporting EMEA Financial Controller on projects and tasks

Skills & Experience:

Previous Experience performing the Finance Function within/for European Entities

Experience within hospitality - Advantageous

Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (Navision) - Highly beneficial

Minimum of 3 years work experience

Qualification:

Complete SAICA or SAIPA Articles

Qualified or Eligible to Qualify ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CA(SA) or similair
