Finance and Administration Manager-Fort Hare Foundation

SUMMARY:

The Fort Hare Foundation seeks to appoint a Finance and Administration Manager

Grade 7

Reporting to the Director of Fort Hare Foundation, the Finance and Administration Manager provides financial and investment management as well as financial reporting for the Fort Hare Foundation.

POSITION INFO:

The role will be responsible for:

• Overseeing all financial aspects of all the cost centres within the Foundation.
• Budget preparation, variance analysis and reporting.
• Procurement management (in line with the Supply Chain Management Policy).
• Expenditure management and payment processing.
• Monthly reconciliation of all investment accounts.
• Investment management to ensure good return on investment.
• Provide financial support and advice to the Director.
• Asset Management (demand management, asset register, etc.).
• General Ledger reconciliations.
• Monthly payments and statutory reporting.
• Prepare Annual Financial Statements.
• Attend to the Audit (internal and external) and address related findings.
• Compliance with Legislation and Risk Management.
• Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the Director.

Minimum requirements

• BCom Degree in Accounting or BCompt or BTech in Financial Management.

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a financial accounting and/or investment management environment.

• Financial Management experience within the public sector.

Other Knowledge Required:

• Procurement, Accounting and record keeping, Financial Reporting, Financial Reporting, Financial Accounting and Stakeholder Management.
