JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities

5 Direct reports

UT Finance Manager Successor

Attend meeting on behalf of FM

Attend Risk meetings, exposed to dealing with Directors.

Prepare, analyse and implement incident reports.

Monitor the quality of recons

Monitor the quality of un-reconciled items

Access current processes and procedures and improve where necessary

Address escalations and assist with difficult queries

Ensure that all deadlines are met

Sign off related daily/weekly/monthly reporting (Trial Bal, Bank recons, unallocated deposits, recon and ageing.

Ensure that team members are productive and contribute to the team''s overall quality and productivity

Ensure that annual and study leave do not cause constraints to performing the work allocated.

Provide feedback on team’s successes and challenges

Provide input into design and implementation of training and keep team informed regarding developments as a whole.

Hold monthly meetings with clients and assist them with all queries.

Assist with new client take on''s and maintain good client relationships

Stringent quality standards to be kept in check

Desired Experience & Qualification

B Comm, previous leadership role.

Minimum 5 years Unit Trust and bank recons and minimum 5 years financial services

SAP knowledge advantageous

DARA/iCompare or other electronic recon tool

MS Office

Knowledge of various taxes

Understanding banking platforms
